I was born 18th February 1967 in Bandung, Indonesia.
My parents are Evi Winata (Gan) and Iwan Winata (Oey Giok Houw).

My brother is Johan Dharmawan Winata (Chinese name Oey Han Liong or Huang Han Long), born 7th January 1965 in Bandung.
Our family came to Germany in 1969 when I was two years old.

My brother studied medicine at the University of Essen and is a doctor (assistant medical director) of anesthesia in Dresden / Germany.
His wife Maria is a nurse of anesthesia in Dresden.
Before, they used to work in the same anesthesia department of a clinic for heart diseases in Duisburg where they met each other.

I studied Sinology and East-Asian economics at the Ruhr-Universität Bochum and at the
MTC of Shida University in Taibei. Now, I am a freelance translator and I am working in the company of my husband.

In my free time I love to dance balett and jazzdance, in former times I also did tapdance. Last year I learned Balinese dance with a Balinese dance teacher.
Like my grandfather I also like to play piano and to paint.
 

I am now married with Stefan Hermann (a German), and we live in Mülheim a.d. Ruhr / Germany.
