As much as we know, the Gan family's roots are found in the village Qishan (Hokkienese: Kiesan), near the city Yongchun in Fujian province. This small village cannot be found on the map. According to some friends Qishan is about 19 miles to the south of Yongchun.
There are some other places which are called "Qishan",
like one place in Shaanxi, but this is not Qishan, "our" place.
