The meaning of the name Gan

"Gan" is Fukkienese (Fujian dialect or Hokkian) meaning "colour". In
Mandarin it is pronounced "Yan" with the second tone.
In the generation of my grandfather all male family members have the
second name "Koen" like my grandfather
Gan Koen Beng.
Gan Koen Beng in Mandarin is Yan Kun Ming. I'm not sure if this is
the right "Kun". If I'm not wrong, "Kun" means descendant or older brother,
"Ming" means bright.
I don't know the meaning of the other Gan members' names because I
don't understand Hokkian.
